One of the most celebrated of all avant-garde films: a 45 minute single zoom across a large loft. The soundtrack is a sine wave, the “ear equivalent of a zoom” (Snow). Four abrupt and random human events take place but the most important things that break up the zoom are the changes in colour, the cutting to negative, and the altering of film stock. The steady movement forward redefines filmic action but, in its own way, is a tense, exciting and action packed movie.
