A surreal combination of live-action and animation as a toy dog is thrust into the Parisian underworld, peopled by louche gangsters straight out of the movies and a range of fantastical creatures that could only come from Starewicz's strange imagination. This stunning stop-motion animation was a major inspiration for Tim Burton when developing A NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS.
