One of the best of the many WW2 propaganda films which were Hollywood's contribution to the war effort, the film is also a hilarious spoof on some of those very movies – war pics and espionage thrillers, with Daffy as the company woman-hater sent on a mission to get past the Nazi se-duck-tress 'Hata Mari'. Director Tashlin, better known for his subsequent live-action career, displays his characteristic take on the battle of the sexes (THE GIRL CAN'T HELP IT).
